Compass IT Compliance participated as a sponsor of a local fundraiser hosted by Olivia DePalma for a senior project at North Providence High School. The focus of the fundraiser was to raise money for Turtle Island via donations and the sale of sweatshirts. Turtle Island, managed by the internationally renowned scientist and zoologist Dr. Peter Praschag, breeds and focuses on conservation of endangered turtles worldwide. With over 240 taxa and more than 2500 turtles housed at four locations across Styria, Austria, Turtle Island is an Ark for endangered species.

Compass IT Compliance employees ran in the DAV 5K Boston at DCR Fort Independence at Castle Island. Despite a cold and rainy morning, nearly 700 finishers ran, walked and rolled to show their support for the DAV Massachusetts chapter. DAV helps more than one million veterans each year in positive, life-changing ways, at no cost to them. From the Berkshires to Provincetown, the DAV Department of Massachusetts supports our local veterans everyday with our programs and services.

Compass IT Compliance participated as a sponsor of the Town of North Providence Car Show. The event was hosted by Bryce DePalma and Julian Abed, both seniors at North Providence High School. The event was the focus of their senior project, and aimed to generate donations for Sargent Rehabilitation Center and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, two charitable causes very important to the hosts. Their hope is that any money raised will impact the lives of those in need in a positive way!

The championships is an annual event which supports local high school basketball teams as they compete toward the state basketball championship. The Credit Unions of Rhode Island sponsor the high school basketball playoffs from the divisional rounds through the championships. Sponsor contributions offer Rhode Island’s top high school athletes the opportunity of a lifetime to compete at the Ryan Center at the University of Rhode Island.

Compass IT Compliance employees, along with their families purchased non-perishable food items to be donated to the Blackstone Valley Emergency Food Center in Pawtucket, RI. The mission of BVEFC is to provide emergency food to people of no income and low income in the Blackstone Valley area (Pawtucket, Central Falls, Cumberland and Lincoln, RI), providing a 10-days supply of food to those in need once a month.

Compass IT Compliance was a Gold Sponsor for the 30th Annual Sargent Rehabilitation Center Benefit Golf Tournament at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown, RI. Sargent Rehabilitation Center concentrates its operations in the areas of neuro-rehabilitation, audiology, school programs for students with disabilities, and the Regional Resource Center (RRC). In 2017 Sargent Rehabilitation Center celebrated 100 years of providing comprehensive outpatient medical-educational-rehabilitation services to disabled children, adults, and their families.
To honor the brave men and women fighting on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Compass IT Compliance donated 100 lunches to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Rhode Island Hospital (Lifespan) in Providence, RI. Lifespan, the state’s largest health system, on June 14th discharged its 1,000th coronavirus patient. The milestone was marked, as it has been for months, with the theme from the movie “Rocky” playing over the PA system at Rhode Island Hospital.
In honor of the holiday season, Compass IT Compliance set up a Christmas tree within the office and invited all employees to bring in toiletries and other essential supplies to be donated to the Holy Family Home for Women and Children at St. Anthony Church in North Providence, RI. The Holy Family Home for Women and Children provides a safe, caring, and nurturing home for women with children who find themselves in peril and do not have the ability or resources to improve their situation.

Compass IT Compliance employees ran in the Amica Downtown Jingle 5K in downtown Providence, RI. Hundreds of runners took part in the annual event to help raise money for the Amos House. The mission of the Amos House is to help people help themselves out of homelessness and poverty through vital services and results-oriented programs. Amos House is a leading social service agency in Rhode Island, managing the largest soup kitchen in the state, providing social services to over 15,000 people a year and housing nearly 165 men, women and children a night. More than 500 adults have graduated from its training programs.

Compass IT Compliance employees, along with their families purchased Thanksgiving food items to be donated to the Saint Edward Food and Wellness Center in Providence, RI. The Food Center is the second largest agency serviced by the Community Food Bank and distributes over 400,000 pounds of food annually. Currently the Food Center is servicing over 2000 families as of this date as recorded on our database with an average of about 300 to 350 families receiving assistance weekly.

The Innocent Lives Foundation unmasks anonymous child predators and reveals their true identities using legal hacking techniques and data from open-source intelligence.

Seven members of the Compass IT Compliance team took part in the Rhode Island State Police 5K Foot Pursuit. Each year, hundreds of participants gather for the race, which raises money for the State Police Union who then distributes the proceeds to various charities throughout the year.
